Just talked to a bank customer service rep in the United States. After I read my account number, he asked," I am sorry. Is your Account number starting with two A's?"
I said," No! It's starting with two 8's! Both them are numbers!"
He said,"Oh! I am so sorry!"
That was so awkward! My accent is so terrible. In fact, both my listening and speaking skill is getting worse. I wish I could get more opportunities to practice my speaking. I mean talking to a native speaker as friends, not for business or academic purposes....

I'm sooooooooo looking forward for this Thanksgiving!! My husband and I are going to visit my aunt and uncle in Boston. I love my aunt and my uncle. They are really nice people. Although my uncle is a white guy and he is a lawyer, but his personality is actually really nice!! We love the when he smile and it makes us feel warm inside our heat!!!! pearce168, don't feel lonely.  I understand how you feel. We all want to talk to each other. But we usually don't know how to finish the sentence. It's actually very difficult. I ever image I can find someone to do this.  I know it is the best way to  improve language studing. But believe it or not, it is a miracle I can write tonight. Ah~~ this month is a really busy month for me... I got invite to all the parties from my friends and colleague. Also I'm gonna go hang out with my friends this two days, and there would be a Christmas show even in the school where I work. Can't wait till next Friday, so I could have my vacation.... I neeeeeeeeeed a break!!!!!!!!!!

Any how I basically did all my Christmas shopping. I'll go check do I miss anyone's gift, so I can do the rest tomorrow... Thank God I live close to a few malls, so I can go shopping anytime I want! My friend invite me to see Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center, but I just can't make time.....My Saturday, and Sunday are basically all taken... I only have weekdays left, but not much. I already push away a birthday party from my friend because on that day I gotta go to one of my friend's Christmas party, and which we had talk about this for several months already........ I told my friend that I'll make it up for her when we see each other next time.

That's why I hate the way that the Taiwanese teachers teach us. Students are forced to memorize vocabulary, sentences, and paragraphs. I barely remember what I have learned from my English classes in High school. I feel so bad for the pathetic system. Students just cram for their exams....
